1. Protect the pure sequence first

The pure sequence is the base of many Indian rummy formats. Before chasing sets, reduce confusion by identifying whether one suit can become a natural run.

2. Use jokers after the base run

Jokers are flexible, but using them too early can hide the real weakness of a hand. Secure a pure sequence, then use jokers to complete an impure run or set.

3. Watch high-value loose cards

Aces, kings, queens and jacks can hurt when they remain unmatched. If they do not support a sequence or set, practise discarding them calmly.

4. Stop treating every round as recoverable

Responsible play is part of strategy. Set time and budget boundaries before using any third-party app, and stop when the session plan is over.
